Capcom has revealed that they have no plans to release a Vita version of Monster Hunter any time soon. The game is scheduled to be released on the 3DS later this year but Capcom has denied a Vita version.
A Monster Hunter game could have helped the Vita in Japan where the handheld is selling decently and the PSP got a major boost from the series. Capcom has clearly chosen the 3DS to be the new home for Monster Hunter and the system may see a huge boost in sales when the game arrives for it.
“Sorry, we’ve got no plans for a PSVita Monster Hunter at the moment. As mrk1976 said, however, MH Freedom Unite is up on the PS store,” the official forums read, in a topic where people were asking for a Vita version of the game.
