One man is selling 5,700 video games and 50 video game systems on eBay, in what might be the biggest sale of a video game collection in history. The collection is being sold on eBay via an auction, and currently the asking price is a staggering $164,000- money you could buy a house for, for instance.
He has also made it clear that at least as of right now, he is not interested in breaking down the collection, meaning when it comes to selling it, it’s either all or nothing. As of right now, eBay tells us that a fair few people have actually reached out to him with inquiries about the collection, though bids are apparently being kept secret for now.
The seller confirms that all of these games and systems are as reasonably good as can be expected. Some of them show wear and tear, and a lot of them are in mint condition. The collection includes everything from classic systems and all the way through the Xbox 360, PlyStation 3, and even the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U (though the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are not featured). The collection also includes failed systems such as Nintendo’s Virtual Boy.
I guess if you were saving up for a house, but then decided you didn’t want one after all, you now have someplace to put all that money.
