NPD May 2017 Report: Injustice 2 On Top in US, Prey in Fifth

Software sales remain same over same period last year.

The NPD Group submitted its report on console and software sales in the United States for May 2017. Unsurprisingly in the game sales department, NetherRealm’s Injustice 2 managed to emerge as the top selling game across all platforms.

It was followed by Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Grand Theft Auto 5 and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Sadly, Arkane Studios’ Prey lagged behind in fifth place, though digital sales haven’t exactly been taken into account.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands was in sixth followed another new entry Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia in seventh. NBA 2K17, MLB 17: The Show and Overwatch rounded out the top 10 of the charts.

The report also noted that while portable spending on software was up by 10 percent year-on-year, overall software sales compared to last year remain the same with no growth. What are your thoughts on May 2017’s biggest games? Let us know in the comments below.
