Square Enix recently announced that Octopath Traveler 2 has surprise launched for Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One (along with its predecessor finally coming to PlayStation), and to go along with that, the company has also released a free update for the acclaimed RPG that adds new boss fights for players to dive into.
Specifically, Square Enix has revealed that Octopath Traveler 2 has added an Extra Battle mode, which lets you battle against bosses that are even more challenging than the ones in the base game. Available only after you’ve defeated the final boss, Extra Battle mode will also let you fight against the playable cast of the original Octopath Traveler.
You can check out the full patch notes below. Octopath Traveler 2 is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC, and is also available with Game Pass at no additional cost.
