It may be shipping its consumer version in 2016 and suspending development for Linux and Mac but Oculus Rift shows no signs of moving away from the spotlight any time soon. In a press invitation received by IGN, it was revealed that Oculus VR would be hosting a pre-E3 event on June 11th in San Francisco. Check out the invitation itself above, which doesn’t offer much more information beyond “Step into the Rift”.

Whatever Oculus plans to reveal, it seems we can probably look forward to VR games that will actually be launching alongside the console. Given the company’s ownership by social media giant Facebook, it’s a given that some kind of social integration beyond gaming will also be displayed. And hopefully, Oculus VR will also offer details on the pricing of Rift for its launch next year.

What are your thoughts on the Oculus VR event? Are you looking forward to what the company has to show the world or keeping your expectations in check? Let us know in the comments.
