Though it didn’t get a release date, Bandai Namco’s role-playing game One Piece Odyssey received a new trailer at the Summer Game Fest. It sees the Strawhat Pirates discovering a mysterious island – which seems to be based on their memories – and having to fight through a storm to reach it. Check it out below.

Some brief bits of gameplay, from exploration to puzzle-solving, were showcased. One section sees Chopper exploring a small tunnel thanks to his diminutive stature. At one point, it seems that Brook is turned into a ghost but that’s probably explained in the manga. Probably.

With an original story by manga author Eiichiro Oda, One Piece Odyssey is slated to release this year for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. It’s developed by ICLA (of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl fame) on Unreal Engine. Stay tuned for more details and gameplay in the coming months.
