Onrush Gameplay Trailer Wants You to Race, Wreck, Repeat

Perform stunts, gain boost and dismantle the opposition in one fell swoop.

Codemasters’ Onrush has arguably been one of the more intriguing racing games since its announcement at last year’s Paris Games Week. A new gameplay trailer has been released which emphasizes the game’s racing and wrecking nature. Check it out below.

Though Onrush is an arcade racing game which allows for driving various types of vehicles like motorcycles, off-road trucks and whatnot, there’s more to it than that. Races aren’t necessarily won by crossing the finish line – instead, depending on the mode, you’ll either be competing in King of the Hill-style terrain control or bashing enemy players.

There’s quite a bit of teamplay involved but rest assured that the boost mechanic, which increases your speed and lets you ram enemy racers, can lead to some exciting moments. Onrush is developed by a new Codemasters studio headed by former Evolution Studios developers (hence the similarities to Motorstorm). It will be releasing on June 5th for Xbox One and PS4 on June 5th.
