Orwell

If you enjoyed PC thriller Orwell from Osmotic Studios, especially the whole Big Brother aspect of spying on people, then you’ll be happy to hear that a second season has been announced. Titled “Ignorance is Strength”, it will be a weekly episodic series releasing on PC, Mac and Linux with a focus on “fake news” and democracy in a “post-truth world”. Check out the teaser below courtesy of GameSpot.

You’ll once again play as a government man of The Nation and assert “more control” over the populace. With The Nation and Parges falling into civil unrest, players will need to alter the truth and reinforce ignorance. This time around, players will have the chance to “influence public opinion directly” which should be an interesting twist on the first game’s ethics.

Orwell: Ignorance is Strength will be releasing “soon” which hopefully means sometime this year. Head here to learn more about the first game and whether the surveillance antics of Big Brother in “Keeping An Eye On You” is worth experiencing.
