From Defense of the Ancients clone to fully fledged MMO in its own right, League of Legends is one of those games that just keeps on giving. Though the monthly champion additions have a questionable impact on the game’s balance, LOL remains one of the most rewardingly competitive MMO experiences out there; one where new content just keeps on coming. The fact that the game is free to play is just icing on the cake for what remains one of the most culturally significant MMOs out there.
