Outriders

People Can Fly’s Outriders, a co-op sci-fi shooter revealed at Square Enix’s E3 2019 presser, is releasing this holiday season (delayed from its original Summer 2020 release window). More importantly, it’s coming to Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 along with Xbox One, PS4, and PC. A new reveal trailer has also been released, giving a better look at the aesthetic and setting.

Several new details have also been confirmed. Along with one to three player co-op support, the title is an RPG shooter. It takes place on Enoch as you leave the dilapidated First City and pursue a strange signal. Your journey will see you tangling with all kinds of foes and visiting mountains and forests.

Along with “twisted weaponry”, there will also be gear-sets to earn. It seems that Outriders could be going for a looter shooter approach not unlike Destiny or The Division. We’ll have to wait for more gameplay in the meantime but the overall atmosphere seems interesting, at least.
