Outriders Seems To Be The New AAA Game From Square Enix And People Can Fly

To be announced at E3?

Some time back, we wrote a report on Bulletstorm and Gears of War: Judgement developers People Can Fly, and how they had opened up two new studios. The developer, we know for a fact, has partnered with Square Enix to work on a new IP, a shooter, and new information has emerged to suggest just what that new IP might be.

Square Enix have registered a trademark in Europe for something called “Outriders”, and while there is no other information beyond that itself, it seems likely that this might be the shooter that People Can Fly are working on. We expect there will be more details on this soon, after the game is officially announced.

And when might it be officially announced? Well, it seems like Square Enix’s upcoming E3 press conference might be the perfect place to do so. We already know games like Kingdom Hearts III and Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be shown off at the show, while other games such as The Avengers Project and Final Fantasy VII Remake might also make an appearance. It’s more than likely that there will be announcements for new games, and People Can Fly’s Outriders might be one of those.
