Over 300 gaming premieres heading for Gamescom 2012

The first batch of exhibitors have already announced their games line ups for gamescom 2012, in which several spectacular world premieres are expected to be showcased.

Tim Endres, gamescom Project Manager stated: “gamescom will once again become the international stage for spectacular innovations from the games industry. Among the more than 300 premieres are numerous world premieres which games fans from all over the world are already looking forward to today”

The first big developers and publishers have announced their new showcase line ups, including: Blizzard, Capcom, Namco, Tecmo Koei, Electronic Arts, Konami, 2K Games, Codemasters and Bethesda.

Games which are currently confirmed to be playable at gamescom 2012 are: World of Warcraft – Mists of Pandaria, Starcraft – Heart of the Swarm, FIFA 13, Football Manager 13, Crysis 3, Medal of Honor: Warfighter, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Sim City… and breathe… Star Wars: The Old Republic, Resident Evil 6, Lost Planet 3, DmC, PES 2013, Metal Gear Rising Revengeance, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Mirror of Fate, Borderlands 2, XCOM: Enemy Unknown and Dishonored.

Numerous companies will be hosting huge press conference events, the kick-off event for this year’s gamescom will be taking place on the Wednesday at 10:00 am, by this year’s partner country Korea in the North Congress Centre at the Koelnmesse site. The wednesday will also see events from Ubisoft and Nexon. Sony, Capcom and EA are hosting their own pre-gamescom conferences elsewhere.
