Overwatch 2 - Doomfist

With Season 2 about a week away from launch in Overwatch 2, Blizzard Entertainment has outlined some balance changes that will be coming. It noted Sojourn’s dominance in higher ranks and would focus on the “lethality of her Rail Gun at distance.” This would encourage players to use her mobility to get in close for securing kills, which seems to imply significant damage fall-off on Rail Gun. Either way, it probably won’t kill you as much from insanely long ranges.

Even though Ramattra is the starring Tank of Season 2, Doomfist is getting some “significant changes” to “better support his role as the team’s front line while still maintaining the playstyle core to his Hero identity.” Other heroes like Ana, Junker Queen, Kiriko, Bastion, Mercy, and Symmetra are also getting some adjustments. These may not necessarily be buffs though, so keep that in mind.

Finally, along with adding a new Escort map Shambali Monastery, to the pool, Rialto and Blizzard World are returning (with the latter teased to have different weather conditions). Oasis and Nepal will also get different times of day, while Hollywood and Watchpoint: Gibraltar are rotated out. All maps are still playable in Custom Games if players want to revisit them.

Overwatch 2: Season 2 starts December 6th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch. For more details on the Battle Pass and premium cosmetics, head here.
