Overwatch 2

With Season 2 of Overwatch 2 starting on December 6th the time is nigh for the next hero to be revealed. In a new tweet, the development team has announced an “early look” for the new hero today at 7 PM PST during the 2022 Overwatch League Grand Finals.

Very little is officially known about the next hero, aside from them being a new Tank. This reveal could be a short trailer, much like with Kiriko, with the breakdown of their abilities and an animated short coming before Season 2. One thing is for sure, though: If you want to access them immediately, you need to buy the Premium Battle Pass for 1000 Overwatch Coins or $10.

Alternatively, you can grind the regular Battle Pass to Tier 55 to unlock them for free. Whether Blizzard has plans to change this method or make it easier is currently unknown. Stay tuned for further updates in the meantime.

Overwatch 2 is available free on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Check out our review here for more details on all the changes and how they feel.
