Overwatch 2

Blizzard Entertainment’s closed beta for Overwatch 2’s PvP starts today at 11 AM PT on PC. Invites will roll out through the day for select participants though more players may be invited later. Regions eligible for the beta include North America, Southeast Asia, Korea, Japan, Australia/New Zealand, Europe, Latin America/Brazil, and Taiwan.

Participants will also need Overwatch owned and installed before playing (though a free trial can be used during the test). The beta runs till May 17th, though the date may change depending on the developer’s needs. For those who haven’t been selected, there’s the limited-time Twitch Drops program where watching an eligible streamer can provide access.

Drops will be available from tomorrow at 10 AM PT until 6 PM PT, and you’ll need to have watched four hours of content (along with linking your Twitch and Battle.net accounts) to qualify. Senior community manager Andy Belford also clarified on Twitter that beta access is guaranteed after hitting the allocated watch time. The full list of streamers can be seen here.

Progress from the beta won’t carry over into the live game since it’s a work in progress. Features like Competitive Mode, Profiles and Endorsements also won’t be in place. Check out the full system requirements below, though note that they may change over time.
