Blizzard Entertainment has confirmed that Overwatch will see its Anniversary Event on May 23rd. It will run till June 12th and new Loot Boxes will be released containing new cosmetics.

That’s not all though. The developer also released a “Year One” video looking back on the various additions and features that Overwatch has received since launch. This includes heroes like Ana, Orisa and Sombra; maps like Eichenwalde, Ecopoint Antarctica and Oasis; and new additions like Competitive Play, Arcade, the Server Browser and much more.

It’s also a look back on some of the community’s best creations from artwork to cosplay. Thankfully, all the posts complaining about whatever the current meta is have been excluded.

The video itself is well worth a watch, especially if you’re a fan of the game. What are your thoughts on Overwatch’s progress since launch? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more information on the Anniversary Event.
