Previous event items and Brawls returning; new Deathmatch map confirmed.

Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch will see its second Anniversary Event taking place on May 22nd and ending on June 12th. Following a recent leak, Blizzard announced that over 50 new cosmetics would be added including eight new Legendary skins and three new Epic skins. Characters like Doomfist, Moira and Brigitte would also be receiving dance emotes.

As noted in the leak, all previous event cosmetics will be making a return along with different seasonal Brawls. The Brawls will rotate daily in the Arcade. Players logging in during the Anniversary Event will also receive a Legendary Anniversary Loot Box for free, which contains a guaranteed non-duplicate Legendary item. A new deathmatch map called Petra will also be coming along with a Competitive season for the mode (whether it’s Free for All or Team Deathmatch was unconfirmed)

Oddly enough, previous event cosmetics will be included in the current loot pool. You can purchase previous event Loot Boxes if necessary and a second Legendary Loot Box is provided to those who purchase 50 Anniversary Loot Boxes.

If that weren’t enough, Overwatch will also receive the Legendary Edition, a digital version of the game containing 15 skins of the Legendary and Epic Variety. Exclusive skins found in the Origins Edition are also included. The Legendary Edition will go live on May 22nd as well.
