Overwatch Blizzard

Didn’t get a closed beta invite for Overwatch (we feel your pain. Like you have no idea)? Game director Jeff Kaplan recently apologized to fans int a recent dev diary for the overall presentation of the beta which left many interested testers out in the cold. Oh, and he talked about ranked play for a bit as well.

Ranked play in Overwatch should be intriguing, especially given the game’s team-focused – as opposed to solo player focused – gameplay but Blizzard is still working on how to go about implementing it. There are challenges involved and it’s all about overcoming them while staying true to the spirit of Overwatch. Kaplan also talked about other details like local server tests, matchmaking and more.

Overwatch is currently slated to release in Q1/Q2 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. What are your thoughts on the closed beta if you’ve received access? Let us know in the comments.
