Overwatch Double XP Weekend Starts on June 8th

Grind out those last few loot boxes before the Anniversary Event ends.

Having trouble grinding out loot boxes before Overwatch’s second Anniversary Event concludes? Never fear because Blizzard Entertainment has announced a double XP weekend, starting on June 8th and ending on June 11th. The Anniversary Event will conclude by June 12th so clear your schedule.

The main selling point of the Anniversary Event has been that past seasonal brawls and cosmetics can drop from loot boxes. While this does dilute the loot pool and make it tougher to obtain Anniversary Event items, double XP gains should help mitigate that. If nothing else, you’ll fill out all those missing sprays, voice lines and Common tier skins all the faster.

After the Anniversary Event, Overwatch players will have even more to look forward. Symmetra’s rework is currently live on the Public Test Realm along with features like Looking for Group, Endorsements and much more. Expect to see those hit the live version in the coming weeks.
