Overwatch

Coinciding with the Spring weekend, Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch is now free to play across all platforms. PlayStation’s official YouTube channel released a trailer celebrating the same, hinting that maybe you’d be better off staying home this weekend. Check it out below.

The free weekend began at 11 AM PDT, May 25th and will end at 11:59 PM PDT on May 28th. All 27 heroes are playable along with Quickplay, Custom Games and Arcade Mode modes. The Anniversary Event is also currently live, bringing a new free-for-all map Petra and new cosmetics. Competitive Free-For-All is also available, bringing a whole new level of salt to matchmaking. Of course, PS4 players won’t require PlayStation Plus to get in on the action.

Previous seasonal brawls are rotating on a daily basis, thus allowing players to try out some of Overwatch’s past (and best) events. You can also unlock past event cosmetics, though they’re thrown into the Anniversary Event loot box pool. If deciding to purchase the full game, all progress will transfer over. All in all, not the worst way to spend the weekend.
