Overwatch Patch Introduces Interface Tweaks, New Competitive Leaver Penalty

Adjustments also made to Watchpoint: Gibraltar.

Along with Summer Games-themed items and the new Lucioball mode, the latest Overwatch patch introduces some other tweaks and changes to the game.

Aside from Mercy’s Sigrun skin having incredibly white wings, the patch makes changes to Competitive Play. If you leave a Competitive match before it finishes, you’ll now have to wait 10 minutes before finding another match. Also, with each subsequent round of Assault, you’ll have less time to assemble your time.

Other changes include “several minor, behind-the-scenes improvements have been made to the in-game matchmaker”. Lucio has also been added as an AI hero for Practice vs. AI, Play vs. AI and Custom Game modes.

Blizzard also “Made several minor adjustments across Watchpoint: Gibraltar to ensure better balance for defending and attacking teams.” What these changes are will become known when players spend more time on these maps (so really, it’s not going to take all that long to find out).
