Blizzard Entertainment updated its public test realm servers last night for Overwatch on PC and after a long queue for many players, new hero Sombra finally became available for everyone to try out.
Sombra is a stealth DPS hero capable of “hacking” enemy heroes and their abilities. She can effectively halt a hero’s abilities by hacking them or generate an EMP as her ult to hack several heroes at once. Sombra is also equipped with stealth camo to move undetected for several seconds, an SMG with 60 rounds in the clip and a translocator which can be thrown and teleported to within a 15 second window.
The PTR also received a number of other changes. Arcade Mode has also been added, which brings a suite of various modes like 1 v 1, 3 v 3, hero-stacking modes, old Brawls and more with incentives to earn Loot Box rewards after set numbers of wins. It also adds a new map exclusive to the mode called Ecopoint: Antarctica.
If that weren’t enough, Competitive Mode season 3 is also live on the PTR for players to try out. Keep in mind that progress doesn’t carry over into the live game so use it to practice for when season 3 actually begins on November 30th.
