Blizzard Entertainment talked about performing some crazy experiments with Overwatch once the PTR was up and running. Interestingly enough, instead of early next week, the update arrived last night (patch notes can be seen here). Since this is in the Public Test Realm, not all of these changes could make it into the final game.

But they are significant. All heroes now gain their Ultimates at a 25 percent lower rate than before. D.Va has received 100 health on top of her original 100 health and 400 armour. Movement speed while shooting has also been increased significantly.

Soldier 76 sees an increase in damage per shot but slightly higher bullet spread when shooting for prolonged periods of time. Then there’s Torbjorn who now gains scrap over time (with enemies dropping 40 percent less scrap) and faster hammer swinging to get turrets up faster.

There are also the usual interface updates and feature changes including the removal of the Harassment option in the Reports tab. This has been replaced with options for “Griefing/Inactivity” and “Abusive Chat”. Time will tell if these options are more effective than the current system.
