Overwatch Rialto

After showcasing the newest live event Retribution for Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch, game director Jeff Kaplan also confirmed that the new PvE map Rialto would be coming to PvP as well. The map will not be available for modes like Quickplay or Competitive on April 10th, which is when Overwatch Retribution goes live on all platforms. However, it would join the Public Test Realm around that time, thus enabling PC players to hop on and sort out bugs.

Rialto, Venice will be an Escort map akin to Dorado or Gibraltar where players must push the payload all the way to the finish line while the opposing team stops them. Apparently, the PvP map will take place in the morning time and demonstrates a more closed quarters style map. Many are hoping it captures the essence of King’s Row where numerous compositions are viable.

Time will tell when the map hits live servers but it shouldn’t be too far into the future. Meanwhile, you can learn more about Overwatch Retribution here. Uprising will also be making its return along with its 100+ cosmetics. There will be some 60 new cosmetics for Retribution as well.
