Blizzard Entertainment has released a new update for its hero shooter Overwatch, bringing the theme park-esque Blizzard World to live servers on all platformers. The Escort map was announced at BlizzCon 2017 and features a number of attractions inspired by Warcraft, StarCraft, Diablo and Lost Vikings for players to fight through.
As with all new maps, Blizzard World will not be playable in Competitive Play for a week to give players time to familiarize themselves with its layout. More than 100 new cosmetics – from emotes and highlight intros to sprays and skins – have been added to the game’s loot boxes as well.
Best of all, they’re part of the base loot boxes, which means you can take your time to earn them or purchase with credits. Heroes like Pharah, McCree, Reaper, Symmetra and D.Va have received new skins so there’s plenty to grind for. Keep in mind that since these aren’t event-based, the chances of receiving newer items won’t be as high.
