Overwatch

Just recently, Blizzard teased us with the news of animated shorts for Overwatch, it’s upcoming multiplayer shooter, to provide some context and background to our favourite heroes. The first of those shorts “Recall” has arrived and it’s pretty damn cool. Check it out below.

“Recall” stars Winston, the intelligent gorilla with a temper as he tries to figure out his shield generator. Memories of Overwatch, the desire to recall the team and an attack by Reaper, the ethereal assassin with dual shotguns, provide some action. There are also flashbacks to Winston’s childhood and how he received his name in the first place. It’s great fun and an awesome start to the series of shorts.

Overwatch is currently in closed beta but will be entering the open beta phase on May 5th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. It will be available on these platforms on May 24th so stay tuned for more information.
