You wouldn’t think that Blizzard Entertainment’s decision to include a specific voiceline for Mercy, the support healer in Overwatch, would be such a big deal. However, following the event of the Halloween Terror event and release of Mercy’s Witch skin, players have been clamouring for a particularly spooky line that she speaks during the Brawl but not in Quick Play or Competitive.

Game director Jeff Kaplan took the forums to answer the long-standing request, confirming that the voice line would be coming, “ETA: Mid-November.” Maybe more such lines are en-route for other skins?

The Halloween Terror event began on October 11th and is scheduled to run till November 1st. It contains Overwatch’s first co-op PvE Brawl with heroes Soldier 76, McCree, Ana and Hanzo facing a legion of Zomnics. Heroes like Reaper, Roadhog, Junkrat and Mercy appear as bosses, each with their own specific backstories for this Halloween madness.

What are your thoughts on the event thus far? Let us know in the comments below.
