Blizzard Entertainment has begun teasing the next major map for Overwatch. A recent blog post indicated new details on the Horizon Lunar Colony map, which essentially means our heroes will be going to the Moon next.
If the setting sounds familiar, it’s because this is where Winston was born. The colony has since been taken over by hyper-intelligent apes with the same gene therapy and we even get a bit of lore into how things were before. Interestingly, another subject named Hammond had also escaped prior to the coup.
Horizon Lunar Colony will likely be the first major 6v6 map since Oasis in January 2017. Blizzard added three new maps to Overwatch but these were for the 1v1 and 3v3 Arcade modes that recently went live with the Anniversary Event.
