Overwatch’s Roadhog, Winston Receive Balance Changes on PTR

Buffs and nerfs coming.

Posted By | On 10th, Feb. 2017

Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch will be receiving some new balance changes for heroes Roadhog and Winston very soon. Principal designer Geoff Goodman conveyed these changes over on the official forums.

Roadhog’s Scrap Gun will have its spread decreased by 20 percent, thus allowing for more projectiles in a closed space. However, hooked targets will now be 3.5 meters in front rather than 2 meters. Cooldown on the hook has also been increased from 6 to 8 seconds so while you won’t be getting one shot hook kills all the time, Roadhog’s weapon will at least be more effective.

Winston only sees one change – his critical hit volume will be reduced by 15 percent. His original head hit volume was described as “abnormally big” thus making him take more damage. The reduction should allow for more survivability.

We don’t know when these changes will go live but you can expect them soon as per Goodman. Stay tuned for more updates in the meantime.
