Blizzard Entertainment made some interesting announcements in its pre-Gamescom stream especially with regards to Heroes of the Storm, its free to play MOBA. While detailing a new update that will add a new mode and new rewards, Blizzard revealed that Zarya from Overwatch will be joining the roster of heroes.

Zarya is a tank character in Overwatch, one that is capable of absorbing damage with shields and amplifying the damage of her own attacks. She can also project shields on to other players in order to protect them and further amp her damage.

Zarya has been one of the more popular tanks thanks to her ult, Graviton Surge, which gathers several heroes together and opens them up for chaining ults together. From the looks of things, it seems she’ll be arriving in Heroes of the Storm with her abilities intact.

More Heroes of the Storm will be showcased at Gamescom 2016 so stay tuned for more information and let us know what you think in the comments.
