You will not see that ending coming.

Later this month, we’ll get the latest entry in Nintendo’s flattest series, Paper Mario: The Origami King. It was announced seemingly out of nowhere a while back, and Nintendo is on the marketing trail with it now, with trailers and the like to highlight the game. And now, we’ve got nearly 10 minutes of full, uninterrupted gameplay to check out as well.

The footage comes from MSN via Engadet. This seems to be near the beginning of the game, and it shows off the game’s charming world and visual style. You see how you interact with the world and battles, including a miniboss fight, as well as, uh, song and dance numbers, and an ending that I doubt anyone will see coming. You can check out the full video through here.

Paper Mario: The Origami King will release on Nintendo Switch July 17th. Reviews haven’t started flooding in just yet, but Famitsu has the first one, and you can check it out through here.
