Paragon

Epic Games’ Paragon will enter Early Access on PC from March 18th onwards.

The developer has announced more details surrounding its Founder’s Pack which costs $19.99 and grants even earlier access on March 14th. You’ll even be able to keep your progress when Early Access officially kicks off on March 18th.

There are also Challenger Packs and Master Packs for $59.99 and $99.99 respectively that will grand skins, unlockables, boosts, a Founder’s Pack for a friend and a unique skin.

Epic clarified that all heroes will be free and no pay-to-win items will be sold. Creative director Steve Superville said, “Paragon is designed so that all players can compete and win without ever having to spend money. All Heroes are free, and cards can only be earned by playing the game. The game will never be pay-to-win, meaning we will never sell gameplay-affecting items. We’re taking this approach because we believe that competitive games need to be fair for all players.”

Early Access will have its share of missing features and placeholder content including features that would make things “easier to understand for new players.” For now, Epic is seeking feedback from players and will be releasing free Heroes every three weeks. If you’re still in the beta and don’t want to take part in Early Access, then you’ll have access for free during beta weekends.
