After much teasing, Grinding Gear Games has confirmed when its next expansion for Path of Exile will be announced. You can look forward to hearing about it today at 12 PM PST. Interestingly, along with releasing details for the 3.5.0 expansion, the developer will also talk about its intentions for the current Delve League.

As for Delve, there is a possibility that it could be rolled into the main game. After all, many other mechanics, like Abyss and Breach, originated as Leagues before being implemented into the main campaign. As for what the next expansion could be, maybe it’s an addition to the main game that expands on it further, like Fall of Oriath and War for the Atlas did.

As it stands, now is a good time to get into Path of Exile. On top of it being free and Delve League ending soon, this is a good time to hop in, try the game out, and decide whether it’s worth sticking with until the next expansion rolls around. Also, of the many action RPGs out there, Path of Exile is certainly one of the best to check out.
