During yesterday’s Starbreeze livestream, it was announced that Payday 2 would be receiving a VR version of the game in the near future. You can check out the snazzy VR trailer for yourself below.
It should be worth noting that Payday 2 VR won’t simply be a small slice of the game. Overkill Software noted that the entire game will be playable with all of your previous in-game unlocks available. At this point, it’s scheduled for HTC Vive. Whether it comes to Oculus Rift remains to be seen.
Payday 2 owners on PC will receive the VR version for free and there will even be cross-play support between the normal and VR versions. Though it doesn’t currently have a release date, there will be a beta later this year.
