There’s been plenty of buzz surrounding Persona since yesterday. Shortly after it was confirmed that Atlus would be part of the lineup of developers and publishers with something to show at the upcoming PC Gaming Show, Atlus teased “exciting news” for the same. Not long afterward, reports emerged from insiders claiming that Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden were both headed to PC via Steam.

Now, more evidence has emerged that points that an imminent announcement and release for the latter. Over on Twitter, Niko Partners senior analyst Daniel Ahmad states that Persona 4 Golden for Steam will be announced and released on the same day, while insider Wario64 also said that the game would be coming to Steam “sometime soon.”

Meanwhile, Gematsu also claims in a report that according to “multiple sources with knowledge of its release,” Persona 4 Golden will be announced for Steam at the PC Gaming Show on June 13, and will launch immediately afterward. Finally, a page for the game has also gone up on SteamDB, and though there was initially some doubt over whether it’s for Atlus’ RPG, SteamDB developer Pavel Djundik stated in a tweet that the page does indeed appear to be for Persona 4 Golden.

If this does turn out to be true – which seems more than a little likely at this point – this will make it the first time a Persona game has released on PC since the very first one launched for the platform (and only in Japan) in 1999.
