Fusing Personas is a long, time honored Persona tradition- in fact, that is something you are expected to do, as it’s the quickest way to get more powerful Personas under your wing, and also sometimes the only way to do so. A lot of the times, the bosses you face have ver specific strengths and weaknesses that can only be countered by one specific Persona- and more often than not, that Persona is gated behind a Persona fusion.
In the past, Persona fusion has been exactly that, a fusion of your Personas to create a new one. In Persona 5, however, that is not the case. It is something far… darker, more twisted. Almost disturbing. If you want to know what that is, you can check out the new trailer that Atlus put out for the game today, but bear in mind that there are some contextual and gameplay mechanic spoilers.
The trailer can be seen below. Persona 5 launches on April 4 on PS3 and PS4 in North America and Europe.
