Atlus is adding more than just new events, interactions, All-Out Attacks and characters to Persona 5 Royal. It will also have new enemies including the dreaded Kyoma. In a new video shared by Atlus on Twitter, we see the Phantom Thieves taking on the Kyoma, who can appear in Palaces and Mementos.

The Kyoma are interesting because they counterattack every time your party members attack them. However, if they’re defeated, then any remaining enemies will take a good amount of damage. There’s a significant investment involved in targeting the Kyoma first but it’s worth it to make the fight end quicker.

Kyoma will drop Black Stones, which can be fused with your Personas for accessories. We’ll see what other rewards they have to offer in the coming months. Persona 5 Royal is out on October 31st for PS4 in Japan. It will be releasing for the West in 2020 and currently, there are no plans to release on other platforms.
