Persona 5 Royal Shows Off Jose In New Videos

The new character gets a spotlight.

Persona 5

Persona 5 Royal is almost here (if you’re Japanese), and the enhanced re-release is promising quite a bit more than even previous re-releases for the series. Apparently, the game will add roughly 30% new content to the already beefy RPG. Some of the new content and changes surround Mementos, the labyrinth that’s at the heart of the game. We’ve seen some new material from it, including the newest character, Jose. And today he got a special spotlight.

Two videos were released from the official Twitter about Jose. He rides a sand buggy and can be found in certain sections of Mementos. You can trade and refresh items with him in-between floors, but you can also use stamps to reshape the labyrinth in various ways to your advantage. Who or what Jose is isn’t clear at this time, but he definitely seems like he’ll be more than a friendly kid hungry for more stamps to add to his collection. We’ll have to wait and see (thanks to Twinfinite for translations).

Persona 5 Royal will release for PlayStation 4 sometime in 2020. If you’re curious about how much hardware space you’ll need, we got you covered through here.
