Persona is having a big year. Not only is a major spin off getting revealed sometime this month with Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers. But the big news is the enhanced re-release of Persona 5 that will hit at the end of the month. The game brings lots of new material, and today we got some new stuff that’ll be going down in the Velvet Room.

The Velvet Room is an iconic location for series, having been in every entry in some form. This is usually where you fuse your persona to get more powerful ones, and in Royal you’ll actually have the Fusion Alarm event that can happen at certain times, resulting in better stats and skills. In addition to that, the Velvet Room is how you’ll access the game’s Challenge Battles, a unique battle mode that’s new to the series that you can read more about through here.

Persona 5 Royal will launch sometime in Spring 2020 for the PlayStation 4. For a look at how the game is also changing another major aspect of the game, Mementos, check through here.
