While the series is no stranger to remakes, re-releases and remasters, Persona 5 Royal really seems like it’s taking it to a new level with the amount of alterations it will see. Along with that comes new characters, and one of those is a new confidant, who is quite popular with the young ladies of the academy.

Takuto Maruki is a part time school counselor that is coming into the school to help with grief counseling after a certain event that happens in the story (if you played the vanilla release, you probably know what I’m referring to). His Arcane will be on the nose as Le Consultant. Due to his youth and good looks, he has a lot of the young ladies of Shujin Academy excited, but like most Persona social links, his story is not what it appears (thanks to Gematsu for translations). Thankfully, you’ll have a little extra time in Royal for activities, so you should get plenty of time to converse with Mr. Maruki.

Persona 5 Royal hits PlayStation 4 on October 31st in Japan with a western release planned for Spring 2020.
