When it comes to platforms, Atlus has always been a little… odd. They’ve kept the mainline entries of their franchise as exclusive to one platform holder, while spin-offs go anywhere and everywhere. For instance, Persona 4 has never left a PlayStation platform (originally released for PS2 and then an enhanced re-release for the Vita), but spin-offs featuring those characters have graced both Nintendo and Microsoft consoles. Why this is the case is anyone’s guess, but it seems the same will be true of Persona 5. Despite being their biggest game to date, and in spite of lots of rumors, Persona 5 remains exclusive to the PS4- but one of its biggest spin offs, Scramble, will also hit Nintendo’s console.

Most of the footage shown so far has not classified what platform it’s running on, but at Japan EVO 2020 we got a brief glance of the gameplay for the Switch version. It only lasted a little over a minute, with only half of that being gameplay, but it looks pretty clean and seems to run well. Of course, we probably won’t get an idea of the discrepancies until we’re closer to release, but it’s a nice taste (thanks to Persona Central for uploading the footage).

Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikes will launch for both PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch February 20 in Japan. It currently does not have a western release date.
