Persona 5 The Phantom X

After releasing its open beta in China last year, Atlus’s Persona 5: The Phantom X will launch worldwide for PC, iOS, and Android on June 26th. Check out the announcement stream below and the story trailer.

Developed by Black Wings Game Studio, the free-to-play role-playing game begins after the events of Persona 5. It features a new protagonist who encounters Lefaye, an owl and ventures to the Velvet Room. Upon awakening his Persona power, he dives into the Metaverse and even explores Palaces with like-minded allies to snatch their Treasure.

The title offers English and Japanese text, though its voice-overs are in Japanese only. Several mechanics carry over from the mainline titles, including the signature turn-based combat, obtaining new Personas, and bonding with various characters.

However, several new features are also introduced, including The Velvet Trials, the Synergy System for experiencing side stories (with returning characters promised), and the Guild. Stay tuned for more details and updates in the coming weeks.
