Persona 6 and Persona 3 Remake Are “Pretty Far Along” in Development, Reveal Planned for Summer – Rumour

New rumour claims Atlus has made good progress on new mainline Persona games and is preparing to reveal them soon.

Even though it’s been a while since we last got a new mainline Persona game, Atlus has kept the franchise active with a number of ports, re-releases, and what have you. Now, though, it seems like the developer may be gearing up to come out with a couple more major new installments in the beloved RPG franchise.

As per ResetEra user Im A Hero Too – who has previously leaked information related to Persona and has been vetted by ResetEra moderators – both Persona 6 and a Persona 3 remake are in development at Atlus, with both allegedly “pretty far along” in development. In fact, it seems both games are targeting a Summer reveal, with the leaker also claiming that both games were supposed to have been revealed already, if Atlus hadn’t internally changed those plans.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first we’ve heard of a Persona 3 remake, with previous leaks also have claimed that the project is in the works. As per Im A Hero Too, the remake has “so many updates” that it may as well be “a new game for many”.

Meanwhile, where Persona 6 is concerned, the leaker says that, in spite of recent multiplatform Persona releases, it could still end up being a PlayStation exclusive (which has been claimed in previous leaks as well)- though it seems like there isn’t complete clarity on that particular front, so there’s no guarantees.

Of course, as is the case with any such leak, it’s best to take this with a grain of salt for now- though if Atlus does indeed planning on revealing the two games this Summer, it shouldn’t be long before more details emerged. Stay tuned for all of those updates.
