Phantasy Star Online 2: Seven New Screenshots from the Upcoming Content Update

And a look at the New Year's decorations.

Sega’s upcoming update for the PC version of Phantasy Star Online 2 (the PS Vita version releasing in February 2013) allows players to take part in an emergency quest to escape from the Darkers’ Den after a kidnapping. However, more importantly, it lets players fight doppelgangers of themselves and their friends for the chance to win awesome items. Not like there’s much choice involved in the matter either, but hey, free stuff. To that effect, Sega has released several new screenshots of the same, showcasing what players can expect.

Screenshots have also been provided showing off the decked out Lobby, which has been changed for New Year’s celebrations. The design change will be effective from January 1st till 23rd, though the content update is arriving on the 9th.

It’ll be interesting to see how players react to the content, especially when they can team up with others via cross play between the Vita and PC versions. Nonetheless, let’s hope Sega can keep the coolness factor strong with this feature.
