Pillars of Eternity

Obsidian Entertainment’s successful Kickstarter project Pillars of Eternity isn’t even out yet but it the team is hard at work on its first expansion. Obisidian’s Adam Brennecke revealed during a recent AMA on Reddit that the expansion would be similar in size to Tales of the Sword Coast, the expansion for the original Baldur’s Gate.

“We are looking at doing an expansion that’s about the same size (area wise) of Tales of the Sword Coast. I won’t reveal much about it since it’s early in development, but we’ve already have a small team working on areas and environments while the rest of the team focus on shipping the game.

“We will announcing more things about it over the next few months.”

Pillars of Eternity is scheduled to release on March 26th for the PC and Mac. Along with the expansion, the team at Obsidian is looking at developing a sequel to the RPG in the coming months.
