PlanetSide 2 Behind the Battle Lines Video Explores Forgelight Engine, New Features

Get ready for a double XP/Cash weekend for Easter.

Sony Online Entertainment has revealed a new Behind the Battle Lines video for their wildly popular MMO FPS PlanetSide 2, which showcases the new Forgelight Engine as well some of the new features that the latest update brings.

The latest game update, besides bringing in some fixes, also includes some new Rocket Launchers and the much anticipated Station Cash unlocks that is account-wide. There will also be double XP and double Station Cash play in celebration of Easter this weekend.

SOE will also be introducing a new PlanetSide 2 app for Android and iOS that allows for continuous connectivity and strategizing – we imagine this would come in handy when you’re away from your computer but want to keep playing the game. The app will be showcased more closely during this week’s GDC event.
