Planetside 2 Video Advertises for the Vanu Sovereignty Empire

Gain enlightenment, and some frigging big plasma guns.

Sony Online Entertainment has released a new video for Planetside 2, their massively multiplayer online shooter for the PC, advertising for the Vanu Sovereignity and inviting players to join their cause.

As one of the three empires waging war on the volatile surface of Auraxis, the Vanu Sovereignty boasts advanced plasma weapons along with other seriously tricked out rigs like hover vehicles. These vehicles hold a distinct advantage over wheeled vehicles due to their gravity-defying traits and this allows them much higher mobility (though at the cost of armour).

Additionally, the plasma weapons boast a significantly lower rate of fire and direct damage but work wonders when it comes to melting off flesh and armour. Plasma weapons also possess quite the range and can deal damage from great distances, though the greater the distance, the less damage is dealt.

We expect similar recruitment videos for the Terran Republic and New Conglomerate empires in the coming weeks.
