Storm the taco stands!

PopCap Games’ Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare continues to be updated with new content. The newest update to arrive is actually DLC in the form of Legends of the Lawn. It will be out on September 30th for all platforms, including the PS3 and PS4, and will feature five spawnable characters, 200 items for customization, new character variants and the Taco Bandits game mode. Check out the trailer above to learn more about it.

Taco Bandits is essentially Capture the Flag but sees zombies trying to capture three tacos from the plants while the latter defend. While the plants can fortify positions and build different turrents to hold down areas, the zombies can summon different AI foot soldiers to fight alongside them. It’s a pretty neat twist and certainly imbues the game with a more strategic feel.

PlayStation users will also be receiving the Suburbination update later today for even more content. Some of the character variants in Legends of the Lawn include the Alien Flower, Centurion and Golf Star and they look fairly snazzy.
