At Microsoft’s Gamescom presentation, it was announced that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds would be published by Microsoft on the Xbox One when it launched later this year for Game Preview, the console’s early access program.
However, did that mean it would be exclusive to the console? Twitter users posed this question to lead community manager Sammie on Twitter, the exchange which you can see below. Furthermore, Game Informer contacted Microsoft who responded that, “As we announced at E3, ‘PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS‘ will be a console launch exclusive on Xbox One and right now, the development team is solely focused on bringing the best game possible on Xbox One and PC. We have nothing further to announce at this time.”
So at this point, neither Bluehole nor Microsoft is confirming whether PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will be complete exclusive to the Xbox One when it comes to consoles.
As it stands, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is already available on PC and will also support Xbox One X when it launches later this year on Game Preview. It recently broke the 8 million mark for copies sold on PC.
We have expanded the partnership and will be working more closely with the @Xbox team to launch on console faster and will get more support.

Yes. This partnership is about allowing our dev team to solely focus on Xbox & PC development and bring PUBG to Xbox players faster.
