PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Now Available on iOS and Android in USA

Beating Fortnite to the punch!

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is now officially available on smartphones in the US. Hot on the heels of Fortnite‘s iOS launch (which was limited to being invite only for now), PUBG is now available to download for everyone on the App Store and on Google Play in the US. Over the next few days, it will be rolling out to all countries around the world.

PUBG has until now been available only in China for mobile; by being available to a wide audience on iOS and Android, PUBG beats Fortnite to mobile, just as Fortnite beat PUBG to consoles. Whether or not this means PUBG can turn the tides back in its favor- Fortnite is now the more popular game currently- remains to be seen.

If you download it, be mindful of the fact that having a higher end device is generally going to be better, and that it will also drain your battery. Also, clear up about 900MB of space on your device.

Apart from iOS and Android, PUBG is out now on PC and Xbox One.
